Pre-register NowLiv & Van have been dancing together since 1998 and became teaching partners in 2001. Their specialties are West Coast Swing, Hustle, Night Club 2-Step, and Country Western 2-Step. They have taught for the Dancing Bears, Dance Connect, The UAA Student Union, West Coast Swing Alaska, Strictly Swing Anchorage, and the UAA dance program.
Van competed and placed in many West Coast Swing Jack & Jill Competitions in Portland, OR from 1994-1996. Liv has competed the past four years in the pro-am division at Mountain Magic in West Coast Swing, and Nightclub 2-Step with Michael Eads and Hustle with Raul Ante and Daniel McGee. She has placed first in several competitions. Dancing together Liv and Van placed 1st in Division IV Waltz and West Coast Swing and won the Division Overall at the Portland Dance Festival in 2000. They continue to compete at various events including Easter Swing, Mountain Magic, The Reno Dance Sensation, and Hooray for Hollywood in WCS, Hustle, and Nightclub 2-Step.
Liv & Van are also both directors of West Coast Swing Alaska – a non-profit WC swing and social dance club founded in 2001.
