Anel and German, located in Puerto Vallarta, learned basic technique of lineal salsa in 2010. When they finished 2nd place in an amateur Salsa, a desire for learning was triggered in them. They decided to focus on learning from local and international instructors to obtain tools and skills to create their own style and teaching method.
They started as lineal Salsa Teachers in late 2011. A year later they got certified as instructors under the certification program Tito Ortos. Currently they give lineal salsa classes on 1, on 2, cha cha cha and bachata in local schools and in their own place. Some of their students excelled by gaining the first 3 places in local competitions with choreographies created by Anel and Germán.
They have participated in the Salsa and Mambo Fest congresses at the Riviera Nayarit; in the Perla Tapatia Salsa Congress at Guadalajara city; at the International Festival of Salsa and Bachata in Monterrey; and in the Salsa and Timba Cozumel Fest at Quintana Roo.
If you take classes with them, they will teach you to dance in a logical and natural way. Your dance will be creative but with cadence and proper timing. You’ll get tools to design your own dance. Your leader-follower connection will be so exquisite that it will make you shine on your social dance.

Melaina Larson, born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska, now lives in Orange County, CA. She is the 2010 US Smooth Ballroom Champion and has been teaching and competing professionally since 2005. We experienced her talents as an instructor December 2012 with collaboration of the Lathrop Ballroom Dance Team. We are pleased to have the opportunity to have her join our dance community once again.
